I know the REAL answer to this question is, "It depends -- on many things", but I'm hoping to get some kind of idea as to what's a reasonable time that it takes to start making money with 9x12 from a standing start.

I'm self employed and at a point where I have zero paid projects to work on. I'm scared. I need to find an income source. Quick.

Is selling 9x12s a high problability pursuit for this? Or, is this something that realistically takes weeks to build up?

Since I have no paid gigs going on, I've got whatever time I need. I'm hoping to do this remotely because my own city seems to scoff at spending money on marketing.

I'm going to go through the 9x12 courses I've been collecting. I'll follow the order Jake suggested in another thread. I understand the concept of getting up to 50% deposit and using those deposits to pay for design and fulfillment. I've got above average skills at building web pages, if needed. I've got tools for scraping small business leads.

Would it be unrealistic for me to start getting checks within the next couple of weeks if I focus all my energy on this, right now?

Motivate yourself by picking a mailing date that is 6-8 weeks from the day you want to start. We went 6 weeks out...giving us 30 days to sell all spots, then 2 weeks for production and mailing.

If you generate a bunch of activity every day, you'll get there. If you have a few spots left after 30 days, you can go back and offer discounts to any fence sitters...good luck!

As with all things in sales...

It mostly depends on how well you can sell, if you have a strong charistmatic personality and understand the sales process well (qualifying buyers, dealing with objections, giving them confidence prices etc.) then you increase your chances by alot.

How many businesses can you hit in a day depending on time constraints? The more businesses the higher number of potential leads to follow up with and the higher number of sales.
