I Want to Generate Leads For You!

That's right, I'm looking to bring leads right into your email inbox.

As you know, I have a call room with a team of very good callers. In fact, I believe that some of them are the very best in the world. I'm looking to expand my team and start offering cold calling services for hire. I still have some kinks to work out and testing to be done but if you'd like a highly trained team of cold callers working for you, I'm your guy.

Take a look at these stats:

http://i60.tinypic.com/ehm41.jpg

SERVICES I CAN GENERATE LEADS FOR:

I prefer to generate leads for your 9x12 campaigns, solo direct mail, M3 mailings, and print services. Print services are the easiest to generate leads, 9x12 come in a close second, and solo/m3 are more difficult. I'm willing to discuss calling for other marketing services however I consider 9x12 and/or print service campaigns as a priority since it's our true expertise.

LEAD QUALITY:

It's important we're both on the same page as to the quality of leads delivered. The more qualified and urgently interested the prospect is, the more time it will take to set and therefore the more it will cost to generate. I've came up with a simple code system dictate the quality of the lead.

The higher the level of development and the more information given to the prospect, the harder the lead will be to set and therefore more money and time will need to be spent. I've broken down the quality down to two categories, development and interest.

Prior to starting a campaign, just look at these options and tell me the minimum/maximum level of leads you want delivered.

Development (from most difficult to easiest):

A class. Owner interested and sets an appointment for you to come in
B class. Owner interested and wants more information via email or phone call
C class. Owner talked to and is interested, but busy and says to call back on X day/time
D class. Owner not talked to but the person we reach says they might be interested and to call back on X day/time.

Level of Interest (from most difficult to easiest:

1. Rapport developed, pricing ranges given, strong levels of interest.
2. Rapport developed, no pricing given but strong levels of interest and indicate that if the price was good they'd start soon.
3. Basic information given, nothing too specific or detailed, but has a genuine interest.
4. Basic information given, nothing too specific or detailed, and a very slight interest.

Examples are "A2", "B3", "D2", etc...)

If you're looking for nothing but "A1" leads for example, it's going to take many hours of calling to produce one lead. If you want a combination of "A2 and everything below"... you'll have a much much higher production, generating a few per hour in some cases.

TIME AND CONTRACT LENGTH

I'm open to running campaigns for as little as 6-8 hours but I feel that 12-15 hour campaigns should be the minimum, and priority is given to campaigns with 15+ hour minimums. With two or three callers working on your campaign, those hours can really go fast and if there's a rough day for some reason I'd hate to have you burn through a campaign too quickly.

In order to spread out the length of the campaign and smooth out 'variance' I suggest letting me put one or two callers max at a time, with 2-4 hours total spent on your campaign per day. If you see good results and want to keep the production rolling I'm certainly open to putting as many callers and hours as it takes to reach the production you need.

The reality is, sometimes there are good days and not-so-good days, so spreading out the calling time can help smooth the variance out. It's not uncommon to have 3 or 4 awesome leads generated in an hour or two, and then go 5 hours with nothing, or the other way around. It's like flipping a quarter ten times in a row, it's not going to always show heads 5 times and tails 5 times, but over time it's highly predictable.

PRICING AND PACKAGES

Hourly Rate:

As of now campaigns are only $10/hour for the first 10 hours, and every hour afterward is $15/hour. This is paid in advance via paypal and bonuses (see below) are billed at the end of the campaign.

Bonuses:

You'll need to pay a small bonus (that's passed to the telemarketer) for each lead furnished. These are critical because they give the telemarketer an incentive to get more information, develop more rapport, and work harder for you. Think of it like a waitress, she's not going to work hard if she's not going to get tipped for a good job. Bonuses are billed out at the end of the week.

Owner that's interested and wants you to call them back or email them with more info... 75 cents each
If an email is provided, an extra 25cents.
Owner who schedules a face-to-face appt .... $5 each.

While I hold my team accountable in every way possible, if you dispute or have issues with the quality of any leads produced I will not charge you the bonus and will call the prospect so that I can rectify it with the telemarketer immediately.

Administration Fees:

Any campaign less than 15 hours in length will incur a $20 one-time setup fee to cover the cost of pulling a cherry picked list for you. If you provide your own list I will not charge this fee and any campaign over 15 hours I'll waive the fee as well.

FAQ:

Are your callers outsourced or in-house?

They are in-house employees of mine who work in my 'control room'. Currently we call locally and remotely for our own benefit but I'd like to expand and offer lead generation for members like yourself. They are extremely hard workers, are held highly accountable, are motivated to set leads, and are not here to just have a 'job'. Most of them are working hard to eventually become supervisors.

Do they speak English? Do they have Accents?

Everyone speaks perfect American English with no distinct accent. Although we're located in New York, we're nowhere near NYC and we don't 'tawk like new yawkers'. They set leads across the nation daily so we're used to speaking with all sorts of people in every state and can build rapport regardless pf location.

What kind of training do they have?

I hire people who have no experience cold calling and train them to my standards. Myself and my Manager trains them daily on tonality, speed, efficiency, and various 'tonal tactics'.

We can reach past gatekeepers, build rapport, get business owners names, and all sorts of tricky stuff. The important thing is to understand that the more 'qualified' and developed the lead is, the harder it is to set and therefore the more time it will take to produce, so think hard about what level leads you want furnished.

What services are they skilled in calling for?

We almost exclusively sell printing and direct mail services, so they're used to calling for that although the basic skillsets can accommodate other services if you wish. We are world class callers at your disposal.

Am I going to only get new callers who are still training or will I get experienced and proven ones?

I will not put any new or in-training callers on your campaigns. Currently I'm putting some of my top callers on who are trying to move up to a supervisory level. This is good for you because they're trying to 'prove themselves' in order to take on more responsibility. These will eventually be the ones training others for outsourced calling so they're highly motivated to produce for you.

Do they close deals as well or will they just generate leads?

My callers are not trained to close deals on the phone. That's a highly inefficient use of a cold caller. The supervisors and managers are the ones who are trained to close over the phone. In cases where you want us to close deals over the phone, it will require the use of them to take over the calls once the telemarketer hooks the prospect and will therefore cost more. Keep in mind that deals closed over the phone take a LOT of effort and in the process you will have passed many opportunities that would have probably sold if you didn't try to have the closed on the first phone call.

Further down you'll see various criteria for lead quality that you can choose from, so pick what's suits you best and feel free to change things on the fly mid-campaign if you wish. I'll accommodate your needs as best I can.

How will I receive the leads produced for me?

I am working on modifying my database to automatically print reports in PDF that will give you all the information you need, but in the meantime I'll be sending you your leads daily via email along with how many hours were called, who called, etc.

I can also have someone in my office call you to issue them to you if you wish.

Am I given proof that you actually called for the time paid for?

Absolutely, on request. I can export a CSV from each phone extension showing calls made, who called, and what date&time each call was made. If you need this kind of reporting, I will need to charge to cover the extra administrative cost of pulling and organizing these reports.

What kind of phone system and caller ID is used?

I use a highly reliable virtual PBX system and typically set them to dial from a private number. For longer term contracts you may want to have the number shown as a local number for your area. I pay $7 per month for each local number added to my system, so I just need to cover that cost. I find that private numbers work perfectly fine though, so don't feel it's crucial to have a local number show up on the ID.

Will you consider charging only per lead or per sale?

This is an avenue I'd love to explore but I haven't really worked out the logistics of it yet. Fact is, there's a lot of risk on my end and I'm not sure I want to take that on at the moment.

What about lists and scripts? Do I have to provide them or can you handle it all?

It's entirely up to you. If you have lists you want called that's completely fine so long as it's in a printable format (all calls are manually dialed) If you'd like a list generated and cherry picked, I can take care of it myself for a small fee. For 9x12 selling, I prefer pulling my own list and cherry picking so that I can reach the most easily produced leads possible for you, but it's all entirely up to you in the end.

My scripts are proven so I suggest you let me work with the ones I have. I've put massive amounts of time and energy into developing and testing scripts. Something to understand though, the script doesn't work magic by itself. It needs the right tonality to make it work.

How many calls do they make per hour 10 or 1000 ?

Depends on the caller. I have 'pounders' that can do over 60 per hour and 'talkers' that do 40. Both have their advantages and disadvantages but the good thing is the supervisor always takes the call once the prospect is interested so that the quality remains the same in the end.

Also has a lot to do with the industry being called, if there's a higher rate of contacts with owners the dials per hour significantly drop.

Sounds like what you are offering is something of high value and also being a provider of full time employment to your callers, a very admirable thing to do. Kudos to you, once this gets out you might need more callers, lol,

Eva

P.s. And, keeping jobs in the states instead of sending them out, another kudos for you.

That's exactly what I thought as well. Great job creating jobs here in the U.S.!

Thanks, it's appreciated! What's funny is that most of my callers who make just a hair over minimum wage work harder than a lot of people who I've paid $12+ in the past since they were 'experienced'.

They aren't always easy to find but there are always people out there who will work like a dog even for minimum wage. And those are the ones that move up fast.

I am definitely interested ... How would it work and would we have to give them a script to follow... I have a bunch of questions ... of course. Price and would I give them my cold leads that I find that is already spending money on advertising.

I was just telling my friend that I need someone to at least get the owners name ... so when I go in cold ... I would at least have a name to ask for ... I am doing this part time as I am a consultant(Developer) by trade.

And most of my days I am at the client office .... This would be definitely good for me ....

So, the real question is how many leads we can expect per block of time. I know you can't guarantee anything and every case is different, but what is a reasonable expectation if we're getting B2 leads for 9x12 and start with a 15 hour block?

OK, cool No rush. I just wanted to make sure you at least got it. Thanks!

I once invoiced a client via email and didn't get paid, but I didn't want to be a pest. After 6 weeks I finally called and asked the about the invoice and they said, "what invoice?".

So, now I tend to follow up much quicker to make sure my stuff has at least been received. Looking forward to it, but no rush. Truly.

Hi Jake,

Email sent!

I would like to order a block of time with your Remote Setting Team.

I'm interested in generating leads for new printing customers in my area, nothing else.

You can put me down for your 15 hour option.

Email me back with instructions to get this going ASAP!

Thanks!

P.S. I watched a Bob Ross 100 anniversary show over the weekend and I
wanted to convey just one thing that I picked up from him as he was painting...

"Let's make us some Happy Little Appointments!"

Hi Jake,

If your Remote Setting Team gets us B, C or D quality leads, do you have any pointers or follow up scripts you use when you do a return phone call or a follow up email?

I know you set these leads for your own business, so letting us know how you personally handle the return phone calls or email follow ups (what works, what doesn't work) would be extremely helpful!

I know it will be up to us to ultimately close the sale, so I'm not expecting a miracle script from you, just general information on how you and your team follow up when you get in your own B, C and D leads.

Thanks,
~ Ashton

Great question. A "B" class lead can be just as good as an "A" class lead except they didn't set a face-to-face appointment. Lots of times owners are very interested but don't have time or don't want to meet face to face. Sometimes they first want to get more info as well before they take time out to meet face to face as well. In my own remote callings, we can't even set an A class lead because we're not local.

B class leads I suggest emailing and calling in combination, with email going first and calling going second to follow up on the email. If your goal is to get in front of them then you should give just enough information to 'wet their whistle" and try to set a face to face appointment where you can show them the card or show samples of different print stocks (or whatever you're selling).

If you're goal is to close it over email/phone then the message you give them should likely be longer and more informative, still with a follow up phone call preferably. I'm even open to having my closers call the businesses you've sent emails to and see if we can close the deal for you if you don't want to follow up over phone.

C and D class leads are essentially just follow-ups that try to get some kind of response from them for more info. D Class, where a gatekeeper is involved are still good to follow-up with especially if the interest number is high. So a D2 or a D3 is actually a great lead to follow up with because that means someone (usually a manager or someone close with the owner) has expressed that the owner might very well be interested since they do a lot of advertising already, or mentioned they need business cards, etc...

If someone was to call my business, you'd never reach me to solicit services, it all goes through gatekeepers, but if someone's got something that either my secretary, or manager thinks I'll be interested in, it WILL reach me. And that's a great lead to follow up with. If my secretary says a guy calls here every week or so and claims he's got this great product/service/opportunity, and we're getting emails on top of that, and my manager has spoken with him and says the same thing, chances are I'm going to probably buy it or at least give you a good shot at selling it to me. Those can actually be some of the very very best leads, they just require some consistent follow ups to close.

A D4 or a straight "D" level lead is really just a gatekeeper that has given us the email address. These leads you obviously don't pay a bonus for and there's no expressed interest but I still like to produce them for you so that you have an email if you want to put it into your follow-up process and at least reference that someone in the company gave us the email.

Hope that helps!

Leaving a review for this service (begrudgingly... don't take Bob's callers from me!):

I paid for fifteen hours of calling to test and have already extended another fifteen. My first meeting was today and I sold 1000 business cards and they're asking about T shirts, promotional materials, pens, event invitations, etc. The manager has a ton of marketing ideas involving print and is tossing them to me faster than I can process them. When I gave them pricing for their business cards the guy said they were "way way wayyyyy" cheaper than what they were paying now... Obviously not all the leads are like this, but ALL the leads I've received are quality.

I have another meeting tomorrow, two the next week, and a handful of super hot callback leads that are ready to buy "if the price is right".

Also, for anyone questioning if you can do this - I'm 24 year old guy, my hair reaches my mid-back, and I wore a well-fitting button up shirt with jeans and a pair of Nikes to my meeting. They never asked for samples. They never asked for a company name. They never asked for anything but a price! It's paper... they're going to buy it if you seem halfway credible and can offer a great price. Bob's callers make you credible and his printing prices make you cheap - so get out there and sell some printing!

I was wondering how this service has been going.

Good job Jake and Good Luck to "Frostedbutts" <---- this nickname cracks me up, how'd you come up with that one?.

Can anyone else comment on how this service is working for 9x12 campaigns? I'd particularly like to hear peoples' experiences AFTER Jake has given you various leads. Was it easier to sell the spaces since they were already pitched?

Jake, if you read this, please contact me about getting this started ASAP. Thanks!

I should probably solicit some testimonials. nearly 30% have re-upped for more campaigns, some are on their 5th - 6th campaigns. For anyone thinking about using the service and having good results... make sure you're follow-up is executed well, and make sure you put at least 15 hrs into the campaign so you have a good 12-20 leads to work with.

Has anyone done this with M3?

Zenyatta is the only one who has, he started to but ended the campaign mid-way through (nothing to do with results).

Hey Jake,

I sent an email a little bit ago about hiring your callers for a 9x12. I've asked the same question twice with no response now, can you check that and get back to me when you have a sec? I'm definitely leaning toward a campaign if I can get a few questions answered first.

I've got spots coming up starting the 2nd week of Feb. As I get requests over multiple channels (like FB/WF/here/email it's hard to always keep track of them, it's good to email me at itsbobross@gmail.com so I have a record of it. Also here's a quick guide I made on the service: http://www.mediafire.com/view/41w7gaet2s1lsba/bobross-callilngteam.pdf
