Okay guys ... Following Dan Kennedy and other real marketers out there.
I was thinking about offering a guarantee on my 9 by 12 is anyone doing this ? .. And before we say we guarantee exposure ... What type of guarantee can we offer our prospects other than exposure.

My guess is that Dan Kennedy would only offer a guarantee on something you can control. He writes great copy for instance but I doubt he guarantees any particular return - too many variables he can't control (ie. where is the traffic coming from).

Similarly, you can't control their offer or their reputation in the marketplace.

So I think response is out.

And you don't want to guarantee exposure...

I am not sure that there is anything else that is meaningful to the client? But maybe somebody more creative than I will prove me wrong.

Russ ... you are correct ... you definitely need to control it ... so you cant guarantee response in addition response for 1 group is different from the other. It just made me wonder though ... I just purchased a mattress and the gave me a 100 day return guarantee if I was not happy. I just seen a ad for a hair cut and they guarantee my satisfaction or they would do it over or refund.

I am starting to see a lot of service offer guarantees on things that no one else would guarantee ...

Take a 1000 of them and back up your mail drop a week later with a mini blast of door hangers. Kind of a back up blast.

Perry Marshall goes into guarantees a lot too. In his book 80/20 Sales, he'll make 2 guarantees, BUT, the client has to hold up his end of the bargain to get it. IE. follow the rules. You could guarantee that the client would be satisfied with the results IF the client offered a really good discount. Something along those lines. If they're not satisfied, the next month is a free placement.
