Getting Organized: Is anyone using any CRM system or prospecting tool ... For following up an managing campaigns. I am using yesware for email tracking and opening but I feel a need for a CRM System ... I have opted in to Salesforce trail I just wanted some feedback how others are following up with prospect and leads.
I am just looking for a simple system to get organized followup on people I contacted via walk-ins, email or phone-calls. oyI am employing the multiple touch system but I want to ensure that I contact/leads know that I exist ... Not doing the pitch and ditch system.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I pay $50 a month for Basecamp....you can pay lower, I just have a bunch of notes and projects on their....my life drastically changed after I got organized on Basecamp lol
They also have a free CRM called Highrise. You can integrate them both together in their backoffice. I highly reccommend

You can also build your own or have someone build you one using MS Access if you have MS office. I use Access.

Along the same lines of Basecamp, I use HighRise. A free account is fine to start and allows 1 extra user for an admin or assistant.
CapsuleCRM has had great ratings and an intuitive interface, but I haven't yet gotten into complicating things while HighRise does the job.
For email I used AWeber in the past and now use MailChimp, which syncs with HighRise.

I just started using Zoho.com it's free for up to 3 users. I'm still trying to figure out how to integrate it with my business card reader app - Camcard. Camcard is great, you take a picture of a business card and it fills in all the fields - no data entry required.
Once I understand that, I need to figure out how to send email through the CRM with my gmail account that has the yesware software. This backend stuff is quite a bit more complicated than I thought it would be. I just want to sell and fill my first card :)
