View Full Version : So Do I Need To Be A Printer?
Ok so I joined BR 9x12 about a year ago and managed to get my self all worked up and intimidated with this whole thing, so honestly I ended up stepping away. But the more I think about it the more I think this just makes sense. So I'm in here trying to refresh myself and what I've noticed overwhelmingly is that there seems to be a need to offer multiple "goodies" to get the cards mailed off. So for example some people seem to have morphed into offering all kinds of printing, and other seem to need to offer like biz cards and rewards cards as like complimentary marketing bundles. Am I seeing this wrong? Or do I need to wrap my brain around actually getting into the print business? And before anyone says it lol, I know that doing 9x12 is "printing" but you know what I mean, like making signs and cards and menus and on and on :)

Good to see you back! It's pretty common for people to put it aside and then realize that they're missing out later.
You certainly don't have to offer printing services however it's a good idea to add it to your arsenal because it goes hand-in-hand with 9x12/M3. If you're not offering print/design services, you're DEFINITELY leaving money on the table I can assure you that. Even if you just focus on the basics like business cards, brochures, flyers, rack cards, you'll be good to go.
Anytime you see printed material in a store there's an opportunity for you, which means there are A LOT of opportunities.

Jake, where can I find your latest pricing on printing. I have a copy of your 2012 pricing, so have you updated it yet for 2014?
