Hey Forum Friends,

I need some help in determining how to price my products. Is anyone building websites and doing logos? I want to know what you're charging for logo design, website design, copy writing, postcard copy writing and design, social media, lead capture, etc. This is for an investor who wants to establish a marketing campaign to buy at least 2 properties per month. I have the real estate investing knowledge and background, I am just clueless as what to charge. It would include creating the entire campaign, maintaining the site, blogging a few times a week and posting on Facebook, printing and mailing postcards to targeted leads weekly, videos, etc. Thanks for your input!

Hey Kim,

I had 2 quick thoughts. If you can break it down hourly per week or month and then charge at least $100 an hour or whatever you value yourself as an hourly consultant. But I prefer to look at it from the investors side. What is the value you are providing especially in the lead generation area.

This leads me to my second idea, where you make the big money. There are 3 major firms doing real estate lead generation in my city for real agents and investors on a per closed deal basis. They get paid a referral fee of 30%. Yep WOW thats some serious green considering most of our re transactions are 400-500K+. Even if they only represent one side of the transaction thats still $3600 to $4500 per closed deal.

Check your state laws because you might need to have a real estate license in able to receive referral fees. There is big money as well as big competition in this arena but if you can generate quality leads then you should be dancing on the golden yellow brick road. Maybe a hybrid getting a solid upfront amount and a fixed dollar amount per each transaction your investor closes.

I totally missed the referral avenue, and I should know better because I paid referrals when I was investing. I actually have my broker's license, and manage some property on the side. And Yes, in CA you need to have a license so I am covered in that area. However, you have given me a great idea for future real estate clients. Do have the names or sites of the 3 firms you mentioned? I would like to see what they have set up. Thanks for your valuable input!
