I'm prospecting for the 9x12 project. A couple of them have asked for a sample postcard; I'd gone only with a outline mockup. I think that a sample with deals on actual card stock will help them understand the value of it quickly.
What other marketing tools do you guys have? Brochure, website, PPT?

You can always order a sample pack at bobrossoffline.com/members/samples if you need some to show. I filled my first card on a printed sample from my local printer but I sure wish I had a sample with uv coating on it and thick cardstock when I started.
I have gone back and forth using different tools, consisting of brochures, rack cards, presentation books, and all sorts of things. The more tools you have the better, but in real life, you have so little time to pitch people that you won't use 90% of them. A sample, and a small presentation booklet is what I find works best.
One thing to consider too is that if you start using brochures or literature meant to be left behind, you'll be opening yourself up for more "think about it" objections because they'll want to read through the stuff later.

Bob/Jake is right. I will only leave my business card and a postcard sample if I can't get the sale closed on that 1st visit. Keep it simple and keep them focused vs confused. Be enthusiastic and build up the excitement and value in your prospect. Your close should just happen on its own when you ask them to give your system just one try and then when the results roll in they will be convinced. Sell Away!

I'm preparing the demo card. Let me go to the market with that and some business cards. I'll go pitch only with that. I'm confident I can close the sales with that; I closed one just with the layout card.
Thank you, Jake and Zenyatta for your inputs.
