The timing is perfect for this.

Someone finally decided to take the GEOPlaces Theme by Templatic and
make their own improved version called....

GEOTheme

Now... many of you will immediately recognize this theme as the GEOPlaces theme because honestly it looks great, but from a functional stand point however... it is full of bugs and a total nightmare to setup.

I had written about this in a past review on wordpress directory themes.

Well, GeoTheme has been independently improved and funded by wordpress
fans wanting a better local directory theme.

So... If you have a spare $85 and a bit of time this weekend you might
want to consider purchasing this theme and giving it a test run.

Overall there are several new features and quite an extensive list of improvements including:

Out of the box - Auto Install (This Can be Helpful)
Home Page Banner Slider or Interactive Map
Category Listing View
Place Details Page
Add listing page
Add Events
Event Detail Page
Featured Events and Listings
Sign In or Signup
User Dashboard Page (Important)
Design Settings
Payment Options - recurring payments now available
Built in Multi City settings (Important)
Free or Premium Packages
Unlimited price packages
Set number of publishing days for each package and determine listing status after expiration
Assign limited features to free package
Add extra features and grant greater visibility to premium packages
Allow business owners to claim ownership of their business page
The rating system allows to attach images to reviews
Sort listings by newest, rating or number of reviews
Verified business owners can reply and manage reviews of their business pages
Google analytics also becomes available after verification (Cool)
Create recurring events and/or link them to a business page
Geolocation and proximity search (Cool Upgrade)
Home Page Google map V3 widget with Ajax loading markers
Advanced notification system

What better way to get your foot in the door for offline products - give away free listings or charge, it's up to you.

If you purchase I will earn a commission on this and I offer help setting up the portal or if you have any questions. If you purchase through my link I will provide a report that shows you how to build a $300,000 a year business with community city portals.

Hey Juan,
This does look pretty good minus the bugs,, always a plus.

Question for you: Do you edit your own site, add content yourself,,,, have an employee, or is it outsourced?

Next Question: Do you "actively" or "aggressively" market your site to the public or, do they find you?

Stable version is out this week. I have 1/2 a dozen of these portals all over the U.S and they are edited by me.

Once set up it pretty much runs itself other than having to approve new listings. we just came out with recurring payments.

Yes I actively market the site via postcards and the site gets 3,200 + daily pageviews.

I have great plans on using this with giant postcards for maximum value and exposure.

Have a great day -

Can you upload videos to the theme as well (If you wanted to upsell the listers a video of their biz)?

Is the $85 price what we would pay if buying through you or do you give some discount?

Thanks, Eva

The theme is video ready (there's a placeholder for video code) that you can manage and you would pay $85 with me or without me - i have some bonuses that I throw in but that's about it. I would just need a paypal receipt and I'll send you a report that deals with making some serious $$$ building "niche" portals.

There's a forum that I'm heavily involved in since I have been with this project since the early days. (2 years)

FYI: you are thinking the correct way with the videos. It's a great up sell.

let me know if i can be of any further help :-)

Eva, i cannot reply to your message - this forum is wacky.

there is no cost to get the forum, once you pay for the theme all is included. look at their home page and all is spelled out there.

kind regards,

Juan, is this still live (your "extra" for buying through your link?). Pretty curious about this, and would love to know more. Ideas for using both with giant cards and without. Can you PM me with your e-mail or ... ???

I bought this from Juan's link and I love it, I use it for a side project and it's so cool.
